We Love you, Piper!
An Update Re: Piper.
It is with profound sadness that we share that Piper passed away early Wednesday morning, 9/30. She went peacefully in her sleep, one of the few pieces of solace we currently have.
She had been experiencing worsening pain, headaches and nausea over the past 2 days. The Mayo team (for whom we are incredibly grateful) used every last piece of medicine, technology, and education to fight for Piper. Unfortunately, despite their best care and efforts, we now say goodbye to our beloved Piper. Her energy and spirit will surely never leave any of us though.
We will post when we have decided on when a service will be held. For now, we hold her memory close as we grieve. We wish peace to you as we all share the loss of a bright spark here on Earth. We also wish for you a sense of calm or possibly even comfort in knowing that her presence in the universe brings a brightness that will surely guide and give to others in much the same way she did here. Please understand that we may not respond to messages for some time.
